Festival 2023, News

Festivals don’t happen by magic. We celebrate the life and work of Rory Gallagher in what would have been his 75th year, only with the help our generous sponsors and kind supporters.

This year we want to give special thanks to all the Gallagher family; especially Dónal, his brother, and Eoin, his nephew, and his relations in Cobh. We’re honoured to have you with us, and we hope that we’ll do Rory proud.

Another special note of thanks to Ben Cuddihy for his role in facilitating the festival programme; we’re so lucky to have you with for this special #rory75 festival. In particular the exceptional Govert de Roos Photography exhibition would not have been possible with Govert’s kind generosity, Ramon Muntjewerff’s contribution, and your hard work. The visit by Simon Avery of Milton’s Cottage Trust is another priceless edition to our festival.

We are so grateful for the support of our sponsors cork co council and Cobh Credit Union Ltd and Cork County Council Library & Arts Service. Thank you.

We equally grateful to ALL our hosts and our venues, and all the local business, Cobh & Harbour Chamber, and Cobh Tourism; for the use of their facilities and their generosity.
